Hypnobabies was designed to be used with your birth partner or alone. It is currently a six week course, with a maximum of five couples per class. I keep classes small so you receive more focused individual attention. It is suggested that our Hypnomommies be between five and seven months pregnant at the time of their Hypnobabies class, although any time is fine to enroll.

Students are taught real, medical hypnosis and are expected to practice on their own outside of class, to continue to develop the tools they have learned to have a positive and beautiful birth.

Hypnosis is a wonderful way to create a beautiful, relaxing, calm birth. As a mother who has used hypnosis for childbirth, and as a doula, I have seen hypnosis for childbirth work beautifully. It is truly amazing to see a mother go through birth smiling, happy, and at peace.

One Misconception I often hear is that hypnosis "takes you away" from the experience. I have found this to be far from the truth. In fact I have only seen it draw mom and baby close together and fathers love that it works so wonderfully for mother, and become very involved in the process.
