My name is Amber Hardman, and I provide services along the Wasatch Front; from Salt Lake City to Ogden, UT. My love and passion is to support and educate women through pregnancy and childbirth. Birth is a wonderful celebration of new life. Through my own personal experience I have come to find that the birth of a child is nothing to be feared. It can be a calm, wonderful, joyous occasion. After the birth of my daughter, I knew this is what I was meant to do, help women find a way to have a gentle easy birth.
In March of 2006 I went through training to become a certified doula through DONA (Doulas Of North America) and I am close to obtaining my certification. I am also a proud member of the UDA, ( Utah Doula Association). I work best as a Hypno-Doula, this is where I have the most personal and professional experience; however, I have attended a variety of births, all with different preferences and I am comfortable to do so, as long as you feel we make a good match. Having a doula who fits your personality, and believes in your goals, and wishes for your birth, is what matters in this very important decision.
I became a certified Hypnobabies instructor in July of 2006. Since then I have been teaching this amazing program to many couples seeking to use hypnosis for birth. Hypnobabies gives you the power of knowledge to be able to make educated choices through out your birthing time, the ability to use our special "Eyes Open" Childbirth Hypnosis Techniques, allowing you to stay alert, aware, and able to adjust to your needs and babies needs and stay completely comfortable and relaxed. Hypnobabies students have the highest success rate of any childbirth hypnosis program out there, and I have seen fantastic results with my students. Classes are held year round, on Saturdays, taught in my comfortable home in Layton, UT If you are in the Salt Lake City Area and interested in hosting a class series in your home, please contact me! I do offer a discount to the class host. (Classes held in SLC, are subject to demand and will be held on either a Wed, or Thurs Night from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
Photography services are also available. I offer Several packages for Pregnancy, birth and family. Please visit my photography page for more information on prices and packages available. I offer discounts to Hypnobabies Students and Doula Clients who would like to add photography to their Services. If I am your doula, I will not combine any birth photography package, however I am more than happy to take pictures for you if time allows, I will be your doula first ad foremost. Any pictures taken at your birth, if hired as your doula will be a gift to you, I do not charge for these.
